Wood-Mizer has released two new upgrades for its HR130 horizontal resaw, an entry level, single-head horizontal resaw. The HR130 is designed to be a cost-effective saw for sawyers who are expanding their operations or for large operations that need an additional resaw for specific products.
The HR130 remanufactures boards and cants, and reclaims slabs into finished products, such as pallet boards. The bed tilts to cut at an angle, producing lap siding and moulding blanks, and shingle shakes can be made with the optional shingle belt.
The optional auto return system makes one-man operation possible, returning cants back to the operator to go back through the resaw. This optional system requires less manual labor, making the HR130 even more efficient.
The HR130 features a 15 hp three phase electric motor that has plenty of power for resawing applications, but still keeps energy consumption low.
A new option is the setworks that allows up to eight presets that use fractions, decimals, and metric. Being able to go from one thickness to another with just the push of a button reduces setup time and keeps each cut consistent.
