Wood-Mizer is pleased to announce that its bi-annual 2011 Personal Best Competition is now open for entries. Entries compete for $20,000 in prizes. Every other year, Wood-Mizer hosts its Personal Best contest, a long-standing tradition of recognizing Wood-Mizer sawmill owners who cut lumber for their building project to fulfill a dream. This contest is open to all Wood-Mizer sawmill owners interested in competing for their share of $20,000 in Wood-Mizer credits.
Three awards are now given in each of eight different categories: homes and major structures, small homes and cabins, large barns and garages, small barns and tool sheds, interior projects, exterior projects, for–the-good–of-others, and open–unusual-unique-projects.
Grand champion, first place, and honorable mention will be named in each category. Prize credits up to $1,250 can be won and used to purchase any Wood-Mizer products.
Entries will be accepted from now until September 1, 2011. Customers can apply through or download Wood-Mizer’s online application at www.woodmizer.com/pbest, or by sending in the completed entry form included in the next issue of The Wood-Mizer Way.
Judging will be based on creativity, originality, complexity, quality of workmanship and overall use of the Wood-Mizer sawmill.
