Wood-Mizer introduces the industrial MR6000 gang saw engineered for high-production pallet and lumber mills. Available as a standalone machine or integrated into a complete system, the MR6000 gang saw joins the Wood-Mizer line of industrial sawmilling and pallet system equipment that is available and supported through their established worldwide distribution network.
The MR6000 is Wood-Mizer’s largest capacity multi-rip saw with the standard machine capable of processing material up to 36” (914mm) wide and up to 10” (254mm) thick. Featuring dual arbors, the MR6000 can be equipped with a configurable number of circular saw blades for processing material. Additional configurations for material width, thickness, and power are available based on the number of saw lines and processing needs.
Vertical press rollers on linear bearing guides are located as close to the saw blades as possible to process material as short as 40” (1016mm) which is a common length for pallet mills. While feeding very short material, an advanced cardan drive system allows for vertical movement of the press rollers to ensure both rollers are always in contact with the material for consistent processing. The vertical movement of the press rollers allows the upper press roller and corresponding lower roller to always operate in the same vertical plane without loss of contact.

The MR6000 includes heavy-duty construction with 1” (25mm) thick steel framework that is stress-relieved and fully machined to ensure optimum accuracy and alignment. In addition, the machine has been designed with maintenance personnel in mind by removing belt covers in favor of an easily accessible safety fence surrounding the working parts of the machine for instant access to all drive belts and pulleys.
