Thinking Ahead–Letter from Chaille

Pallet Enterprise Launches New Website, Including AI-Assisted Search

Even a good thing sometimes needs a complete overhaul.

That is exactly what has happened with the Pallet Enterprise.com website. For years, it has been the go-to resource for anyone looking online for pallet and low-grade lumber content and information. But the systems running the website have been outdated and needed some updates. Well, our team has gone beyond a mere facelift; the new website includes new content, databases, directories and more.

The Pallet Enterprise.com website contains the largest collection of pallet and low-grade lumber content anywhere on the Web. Think of it as the Google of the pallet industry without lots of irrelevant content. This new website utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to develop search answers and results based on content from Pallet Enterprise magazine as well as other sources from the Web. If you conduct searches, you will find that the system is still learning. Not every answer is how we want it to be. Some things may not even be factually correct. Please be patient as we work to educate the search feature to make smarter choices. But it does show you how AI can augment existing content. If you have specific suggestions for improving the results on specific keyword searches, please direct those comments to me.

Beyond the new look, content is available in both a digital edition with the look-and-feel of the print copy as well as HTML articles that are easy to read on your smartphone or tablet. We have archives going back more than two decades for you to search a wide variety of topics.

Pallet Enterprise has developed a number of equipment guides that are designed to help companies identify technology, various suppliers, different features or benefits, etc. These guides cover a wide range of equipment categories, from nailing machines to grinders to trim saws to nails, and just about everything you can think of in between. These guides are a great place to start your search for a particular piece of equipment. So, if you want to find out about nailing machine options, just type “nailing machine guide” into the search bar on the homepage. Or you can scroll through the guides at the bottom of the homepage.

We have developed a new online Buyers’ Guide with all the details in the print Buyers’ guide plus the capability to add more. If you are an advertiser and want specific information linked to your listing, please contact me, and I can add links to your social media feeds, specific articles that we have run, videos, etc.

Regularly, our team scours the Web looking for the latest videos on various pallet suppliers, pallet company tours, relevant news and other issues. We post many of these finds in our video archive. It is a great way to quickly scan for relevant videos that you won’t want to miss. The new video archive can be accessed on the new Pallet Enterprise homepage using a scrolling viewer. If you have videos to suggest that we include, let me know.

Our team has updated our popular pallet lumber search tool for our annual Lumber Pages directory of low-grade lumber suppliers nationwide. Now you can search via keyword, company name or distance radius. If you need to improve your network of lumber suppliers, this is a good place to start. The guide includes contact information and a description of the various lumber species and cuts offered. Click on the “Lumber Pages” tab on the new homepage.

New features and opportunities for advertisers are being planned for the future as well. We will announce those as soon as they are ready. If you have any suggestions on improvements or want to respond to anything that I mentioned earlier in this letter, please don’t hesitate to contact me at chaille@ireporting.com or call 804-550-0323, extension 106.

Our team is working hard to make the Pallet Enterprise website even better, and we hope you like the new functionality and services that are being offered. If you haven’t stopped by our website in a while, visit it today to see the latest improvements. We have a large archive of content on equipment solutions, workplace safety, plant improvement ideas, HR and personnel strategies and much more.
