Supplier Spotlight: Pallet Insights ERP Offers Visibility and Better Management to Pallet Companies

Too many pallet companies still manage their business systems with spreadsheets and paper files.

Key features include dashboards with major production metrics, custom sales parameters and SKU sizes, custom user settings, electronic delivery confirmation, detailed analytics, easy-to-use interface, forklift and driver portals to facilitate plant floor and delivery communication, and easy trailer grading process for incoming cores.

Brkic explained, “Pallet Insights can work on any computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone device. It is designed to provide full visibility in your operations, and everything happens in real time.”

Some very cool features, the software includes a digital grade sheet that allows the forklift driver to enter counts by the item number or grade code for incoming pallet collections. Brkic added, “This feature saves a lot of time because it eliminates the paper trail created in many traditional pallet operations.”

Another very cool feature is Pallet Insights’ use of QR codes to facilitate transactions, processing and order tracking. The system can generate QR codes for each order which are used in tracking and interacting with each load.

Each customer has access to its data through a customer portal to track orders. It covers information, such as quantities, location, order size/items, pickup requests, approval/rejection of loads, detailed order history, etc.

One of the biggest reasons to go digital in recordkeeping is the ability to turn information into transformation. Pallet Insights offer a wide variety of reports on shipments, collections, activity, production, dispatching and more. The newest module in development now includes lumber management.
