The goal of Crosscut Solutions, Inc. (CSI), a manufacturer of mechanical and pneumatic cutoff saws for the woodworking industry located in Manawa, Wis., has always been to produce a reliable, accurate, maintenance friendly saw. Soon after the company started producing saws in 2003, it began offering a variety of cutoff saw options, allowing customers to choose those that fit their needs.
“The majority of saws we sell have an option added that will help fit into the customer’s specific needs,” said Amy Starr, president of Crosscut Solutions.
The variety of options include full integration with Tiger Stop infeed and outfeed systems, a quick adjust option for rapid adjustment for various lumber thicknesses, a double palm system to keep operators’ hands clear and safe at all times, a Kool Mist lube system for misting the blade for nonferrous material cutting, infeed and outfeed roller conveyors available to meet the customer’s application, various cutting capacities, and an expanded steel hand guard that is durable but allows the operator to see his work while keeping his hands away from the cutting envelope.
The staff at Crosscut Solutions takes the time to talk with its dealers and customers about the specific needs of each operation to help determine how to customize the saw in ways that will be most beneficial for the customer. To help customers understand the different features that are available, the company keeps videos on its website (http://www.crosscutsolutionsinc.com) of saws utilizing the different available features.
Before being shipped out, the saws have test runs performed on them to ensure that all of the chosen features are operating properly. Crosscut Solutions will even run sample material provided by customers to simulate conditions that it will face once it is in place at a customer’s facility.
“All of our options relate to a durable, quality cutoff saw that will offer our customers years of dependable service with minimal maintenance,” said Starr. “Maintenance people are extremely pleased with this design.”
When maintenance is required, the saws offer easy access through the rear panel area when it is removed and the top cover hinges up to access the saw through the top. The saw blade can be changed easily through the top when the top lid is opened.
“Our philosophy has always been to be able to service the customer on timely deliveries of both machine and parts. We keep a large inventory of parts on the shelf since we are assembling the saw from our parts inventory. It is rare that we are not able to ship parts the same day the order is received,” said Starr.
Crosscut Solutions encourages visits to their facility which offers a firsthand look at the quality saws and options offered. For more information, contact Crosscut Solutions at 920/596-2330 or visit http://crosscutsolutionsinc.com.
