The last year has been rough for the Brindley family with the passing of Dr. Ed Brindley and Carolyn Brindley, the founders of the Pallet Enterprise magazine among other publications owned by Industrial Reporting, Inc. (IRI). But the good news for our readers, advertisers and customers is that the second generation, who has been running the company for the last ten years, now owns and is in charge of the business. IRI, the publisher of these leading publications — Pallet Enterprise, Pallet Profile and Recycle Record — continues to be financially sound and ready to face the future.
The day-to-day operations are run by the Brindley brothers, Scott and Chaille. They have been intimately involved with the company for the last two-plus decades. As a result, customers shouldn’t notice any real difference in the publications or our services. Scott manages the daily operations in addition to selling advertisements and making market research calls for the Pallet Profile and Recycle Record. Chaille oversees editorial and publication operations while writing and editing much of the content published by the company.
“Emotionally, it is tough losing both of our parents in under six months, but financially the company is as strong as it has been in years,” stated Chaille Brindley, publisher of the Pallet Enterprise. “We continue to evaluate how we can improve our products and services. We strive to keep the content relevant to the daily needs of pallet professionals. But some things will not change. For example, I don’t see us changing the name or any of the things that have made the Pallet Enterprise the number one magazine in the industry.”
Scott Brindley, the president and director of sales, commented, “Our father built this company so that we would already be running it well when this transition inevitably occurred. We’ve essentially been at the helm for the last ten-plus years. That means the IRI team is in a strong position to carry my father’s legacy forward. Our focus hasn’t changed: we want to keep being essential to the success of our readers, advertisers and customers.”
“At the end of the day, this is still a family business,” Scott continued. “We grew up in this industry, and we’re committed to serving it the same way our parents did. We want to provide reliable information for our readers and real relationships as well as effective marketing channels for our valued advertisers.”
If you want to reach the pallet industry with your brand and messaging, the Pallet Enterprise remains a top choice for companies looking to sell lumber, machinery, consumables and more.
