Pallet Wizard Software Has Roots In Ohio Pallet Company

Pallet Wizard is a computer software program for drawing pallets. It was developed for pallet manufacturers and recyclers by the managers of Professional Pallet Services Inc., a pallet business in Franklin, Oh. with assistance from a software design firm.

Pallet Wizard is a simply, easy-to-use program that uses a three step format
to design and draw pallets. No special computer skills or technical training is required.

Pallet Wizard provides professional quality two-dimensional drawings that illustrate the pallet from four views: top, bottom, side and end. It makes drawings of stringer and block pallets made of new and recycled lumber. Pallet Wizard draws two-way entry and four-way entry pallet designs and flush deck board and wing pallet designs. The program shows fastener details and also converts U.S. measurements to metric equivalents.

Pallet Wizard drawings may be stored and retrieved later, printed on a desktop printer, sent to customers via e-mail, and exported as a Microsoft Word document. The program also may be used to manage information about customers.

Pallet Wizard enables pallet companies to provide customers with a professional appearing schematic drawing and helps avoid costly mistakes or misunderstandings over lost or wrong specifications. It is a sales tool that can help pallet suppliers increase sales.

Pallet Wizard computer software is available for an annual subscription fee of $495.

"Pallet design software is necessary
in today’s changing market," said
Ernie Riling, president of Professional Pallet Services Inc. and co-designer of Pallet Wizard.

Ernie and the other two members of the Professional Pallet Services management team who helped design Pallet Wizard have more than 35 years of combined experience in pallet manufacturing, recycling and sales. The software was developed in conjunction with an Ohio computer services business with expertise in designing programs for the manufacturing industry.

"Pallet Wizard helps us gain new business and saves us on costly mistakes," said Ernie. "We are sure that you will get the same benefits our staff and others receive using this software."

Pallet Wizard underwent development and testing for two years before it was introduced in 2004. "Since we have a pallet business, testing was a major part of the development," said Ernie. "Our sales and manufacturing team was using it on a daily basis for almost a year before we began selling it."
