Missouri Trade Show Moves to May in 2007
The Midwest Forest Industry Show, a leading trade show for the pallet and sawmill industries, is moving its show date month in 2007. The biennial trade show also is making other changes.
The show, sponsored by the Missouri Forests Products Association, historically has been held in September. In 2007, the Midwest Forest Industry Show will be held May 11-12. The location remains the same – the St. Charles Family Arena near St. Louis.
The 2007 show also will feature a new format, including an equipment auction, more information and education sessions, and outdoor exhibits of operating machinery and equipment.
The Midwest Forest Industry Show consistently attracts a large audience of decision makers in the forest production industry who are considering purchasing new machinery and equipment.
The trade show features more than 250,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits, displays and demonstrations. Suppliers of equipment, machinery and services for logging, sawmills, lumber remanufacturing, pallet manufacturing and recycling, chipping and grinding, and other areas will be represented.

Ligna Show Planned May 14-18 in Germany
The Ligna+ Hannover forest products industry trade show will be held May 14-18 in Hannover, Germany. The biennial event is a leading European trade show for the forest products industry.
Ligna+ Hannover will feature exhibits and displays by suppliers of equipment for the entire wood production chain, from forestry and logging to the mass production of finished wood products and innovative surface finishing technologies. The six categories of exhibits are forestry, sawmill technology, solid wood working, wood materials and veneer production, wood crafts, and furniture. The trade show also includes a program of special displays, seminars and conferences.
Organizers are expecting about 1,800 exhibitors from over 40 nations with more than 50% from outside Germany. Ligna+ Hannover will feature 1.3 million square feet of exhibits and displays.
The 2005 Ligna+ Hannover show drew 96,675 visitors from 91 nations, according to the organizers.
