Hub Industrial Supply has increased the reward it offers from $50 to $100 if they fail to ship any part of any order on the day it is placed.
The strategy is an attention getting way to prove its reliability to its customers according to HUB president Gabriel Curry. Gabriel said, “It is a put-your-money-where-your-mouth-is demonstration to show how solid our promise of same-day shipping really is.
“Our manufacturing customers can’t afford to run out of supplies. One little component part can hold up a million-dollar assembly line, so they respond by tying up a lot of money in surplus inventory. The decision to raise the reward to $100 was based on the success of the program. In the two years HUB has offered the guarantee, they have paid out a reward a mere four times.
The details of the offer are as follows: The customer must place an order using HUB’s Quick-Ship catalog with over 100 pages of industrial supply items before 6:00 p.m. on any business day. If HUB is unable to get the order into the hands of a shipper on the same day, or if any items on the order are not included in the shipment, the customer will be eligible for the $100 payment, payable to the person responsible for placing the order.
