What questions should you be asking to change your business for the better? Let these questions inspire you to come up with your own list. If you want to be better, you have to be intentional to improve those areas that have been neglected.

 

                • What is the first impression that visitors get when stopping by your facility?

                From signage to clutter to the conference room décor, you don’t need to have fancy digs. But it should look professional and clean. Is it time for a little makeover?

                • Do your production employees perform a quick safety inspection of their work area each day? Why not?

                While it doesn’t need to take long, you could have a basic checklist that workers should inspect, such as trip hazards

                • What will customers be using in five years to place orders and track progress?

                • What is your core business? If you said pallets or lumber, you may be thinking too small.

                • When was the last time you updated your website or social media presence?

                • What would you cut if you had to shave 5% off the cost of production right now?

                • Do you have a brand? What is it and can customers easily explain your brand promise?

                • If you have a labor problem, what are the untapped ethnic populations in your area that may be an answer to your shortfall?
