Automated Machine Systems (AMS) has developed a top-down pallet stacking system. This design maximizes space while offering high-speed stacking. The HVA has not gone into a formal production facility yet, but the first installation is set to take place in May. But AMS has run thousands of pallets through the stacking system and fine tuned it over the last six months.
AMS stated, “The High Velocity Accumulator (HVA) is the world’s fastest pallet stacking system, handling up to 1,200 pallets per hour.”
The HVA continues accumulating pallets even as a high completed stack is ejected, ensuring uninterrupted performance. AMS explained, “With less technical complexity and the assistance of gravity, stacks will eject straighter and at greater speeds, making it the ultimate solution for efficient and reliable pallet stacking.”
PALLET IQ detects and grades pallets using state-of-the-art AI modeling. It can identify color, size, defects, nail protrusions, wide and narrow lead boards, missing or damaged boards, and more – all in just three seconds per pallet. This rapid inspection cycle aligns well with the high-throughput capabilities of the HVA. Three PalletIQ units are active in production now, with more coming online this summer.
