One of the oldest pallet companies in the Midwest recently celebrated a major safety milestone. Garnett Wood Products (GWP) of Brandsville, Missouri has completed five years of operation without a loss time accident.
“The effort put forward by everyone at GWP to work safely and to ensure a safe work environment for their co-workers for five years is nothing less than superhuman,” commented, Mark Garnett, president of GWP.
The work at GWP tends to be very labor intensive and can sometimes be dangerous with exposure to saws, nailing operations and heavy objects. GWP assembles construction mats, produces wood pallets, operates a sawmill and manufactures charcoal briquettes.
GWP (http://www.garnettwood.com) began operations in 1965 and is currently on its 52nd year of being in business. Safety has become an important part of the culture at GWP. Congrats to the employees of GWP for achieving this difficult safety milestone.
