Viking’s Nail Division partnership with supplier Jin Heung will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2023. Due to the added production capacity from their long-time manufacturing partner, Viking Engineering is ready for expansion and to serve new customers.
Focusing on delivering quality, Viking nails are made with a proprietary recipe that contains the highest carbon content (C1042) in the industry, according to Viking. To ensure a high-quality standard, every Viking nail is milled from Viking’s nail manufacturer, Jin Heung.
“We don’t sell the least expensive bulk nail, we provide a great nail at a competitive price; and the confidence that if you have problems with our nails, we will replace them and make it right” said Joan Montague, Viking Nail sales representative. “There is only one true Viking nail, and that is the nail that comes from our mill.”
“We have a long history with Viking and share a similar management philosophy centered around quality, improvement and customer service.” stated JW Park, president of Jin Heung. “That strong relationship helps us to effectively plan the production levels of Viking nails and navigate unanticipated disruptions so Viking can ensure their customers have product when they need it, at a fair price. “
Jin Heung is now in its 3rd generation of family ownership. The company has been an exclusive Viking nails partner since 1993 when JW’s grandfather ran the operation. “Having a strong partnership with Viking for almost 30 years is very special. I believe we’ve built trust, quality, customer service and fair value for the last 30 years. I am looking forward to seeing continuous growth for both Viking and Jin Heung for another 30 years.”
Kurt Larsen, president & CEO at Viking stated the same, “I look forward to a continued partnership and visits with JW at the mill. Together we ensure that we have a plan for high quality and timely delivery of Viking nails.”
Jin Heung is a global supplier of various high-quality nails and steel wire products. Viking Engineering is the sole distributor of its pallet nails. In 2023, Jin Heung will be adding four additional manufacturing machines and upgrading six existing lines, significantly increasing the company’s production capacity.
“We are taking new customers!” exclaimed Brandy Kolar, nails sales representative at Viking. “We have nails ready to go, so if you have a machine on order, we can supply you with the nail that is guaranteed to run trouble free in your Viking machine.”
Viking has two dedicated nails sales representatives, Joan Montague and Brandy Kolar who focus on taking care of Viking’s nail customers.
“This past year we were constantly watching the ports for when ships would finally berth and containers would make it onto the rail,” reflected Brandy. “Viking has eight strategically located warehouse throughout the United States, so we were able to supplement our customer’s direct shipments if we ever ran into supply chain delays.”
“It’s all about communication” said Joan, “Keeping our customer informed on pricing, deliveries, and the status of their order. They don’t have to worry about where their nails are because we do that for them.”
Viking offers both bulk and collated nails by either direct container shipment (18 pallets) or warehouse pickup (1+ pallets). Viking nails can be custom ordered to your exact nail specification.
