Randy Keko Working with Pallet Machinery Group

Last year at the Richmond Show Randy Keko was active in Pallet Machinery Group’s building. Recently people have been asking about Randy; many are not aware that he is now a commissioned salesman, working with Greg Wine at Pallet Machinery Group. Randy also handles consulting duties in the pallet industry.

After starting his career as a CPA accountant, Randy joined Hazlethorn Machine Company in 1979, working with Jack Thornton and Ken Hazledine, a good way to learn about the pallet industry. After about five years working with Jack, Randy became the Midwestern sales manager for Viking Engineering and eventually became Viking’s international sales manager; he left Viking after being with them for 15 years.

During his career, Randy has worked for a number of leaders in the pallet machinery industry, including Conner Industries, Wood Mizer, and now Pallet Machinery Group. Randy could not just retire; he had to stay active. Randy said, “I just have to stay active.” He is enjoying his combined independence and the opportunity of still working with his friends in the pallet industry.

Randy has probably traveled internationally more than anybody else in our industry. He has traveled in some 70 countries and developed a corp of friends around the globe.

Randy and his wife Mary Ann live in Bloomington, Indiana. After 45 years of marriage they have one 21 year old grandchild from their daughter and expect their second one soon from their son.
