Attendants to the coming Virginia Tech workshop will have the opportunity to understand the main advantages and disadvantages of the most common process improvement frameworks. Participants will be given details to understand what process improvement framework could best fit their own firm’s business model.
Many readers have probably seen articles and shorter editorial pieces about process improvement frameworks such as strategic frameworks, six sigma, lean thinking, supply chain management, theory of constraints, business process management, and enterprise resource planning. Some of you may even have hands-on management experience with some of these processes in your own companies. More than likely you have heard of some of them but have a limited knowledge of how they may help you if properly implemented.
This workshop is designed to give participants the basics of each of the most important process improvement frameworks. A carefully selected list of speakers combines academic credibility with practical industry experience.
