Phillips Saw & Tool, which has been in business for 51 years, says it is known for responsive service, technical support, and precision sharpening. Phillips says that if a customer is not cutting, then the Phillips people are not happy.
The Phillips staff is expert in sawing applications. The company doesn’t believe that just because a particular blade is used by one customer that means that it is the right blade for another. Phillips doesn’t just sell blades; it sells sawing solutions.
Phillips has worked with a local company making saw plates for its customers’ to cut nails. It has branded its line of circular nail cutting saw blades – “Talon.” Using the correct plate, the correct grade of carbide combined with a grinding geometry, Phillips says it has almost eliminated cracked plates. Its customers need to replace saw blades only because they get too small in diameter. A cracked plate has to be removed from service because of liability.
Phillips also sells a disposable line of saw blades for companies that don’t have a sharpener available. These blades are priced right for the company that just wants to cut until the blade fails and then throw it away. Disposable blades are becoming a bigger part of Phillips’
Phillips Saw & Tool also welds bands on several Ideal production bandsaw welders. It mostly welds and sells Lenox brand of blade stock, but it also handles the MK Morse and Wikus lines for customers who want them. Whatever the customer wants, Phillips Saw & Tool strives to provide.
Phillips Saw & Tool has been servicing, manufacturing, and advancing saw blades since 1959. For more information on the Phillips line of sawblades, call 800/947-5979.
