Pallet Repair Systems (PRS) has expanded its line of machinery with the introduction of a single-head notcher.
The PRS single notcher is designed to be operated by one worker and can produce up to 750 stringers per hour, according to PRS.
The set-up on the machine is quick and simple. The operator loads up to three stringers at a time. He pushes the double palm buttons to cycle the stringers in and out of the cutter head, then slides the stringers to a stop to notch the opposite end.
A powerful 25 hp motor runs the indexable cutter head. Stringer clamping and feed cycle functions are hydraulic.
The PRS single notcher is built around a heavy-duty plate steel frame and is designed to provide years of reliable service. PRS single notchers are available with either standard carbide or nail resistant cutters that are indexable and replaceable.
