Pendu Manufacturing has introduced its first horizontal band resaw for the pallet and sawmill industry. The Pendu 5400 Bandsaw is availability as a one-head machine or multi-head system.
The Pendu 5400 Bandsaw can split boards up to 12 inches wide and resaw cants up to 8×12 and has been designed for stable, safe, smooth operation.
The Pendu 5400 Bandsaw is equipped with 36-inch wheels and runs a 2-inch wide blade.
It features a top powered feed roll system and heavy-duty tabletop chain conveyor to provide a positive feed system both into and away from the blade. Other features include a hydraulically powered variable feed system, unique outboard bearing design for the 2-7/16-inch arbor shaft, and a low pressure shut-off switch. The saw can be specified with up to a 50 hp motor.
