The International Staple, Nail and Tool Association (ISANTA) has made its 15-minute safety video available as a download file on its Web site. The video, which provides safety instruction on power nailing and stapling tools, is available in both English and Spanish.
The ISANTA Web site can be accessed at www.isanta.org; click ‘Power Fastening Safety’ and ‘ISANTA Tool Safety Training.’
The video is intended for tool users, contractors, safety professionals and dealers. It includes interviews with building contractors and carpenters. Four messages are emphasized: 1) wearing eye protection, 2) keeping fingers off the trigger when not working, 3) choosing a trigger system for specific needs, and 4) reading and understanding all safety instructions.
Related English-language training materials are loaded on a CD and also available as downloads from the Web site. ISANTA also plans to make these materials available in Spanish.
