Wood-Mizer Products, a leading manufacturer of portable band sawmills, will mark its 25th anniversary in 2007 with a 17-stop promotional tour across the U.S. and Canada.
At each stop, Wood-Mizer will offer sawmill demonstrations, educational workshops, a look at past and current Wood-Mizer products, project plans to take home, and more. The tour will feature a 53-foot semi-trailer that will serve as a traveling stage and museum.
The final stop on the tour will be at the company’s headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind. and will include additional activities, including a dinner and show. Visitors at the final event will receive a t-shirt, log-lumber scale, $25 Wood-Mizer coupon, and 25th anniversary souvenirs.
“It will be a full day to get hands-on experience, advance your Wood-Mizer knowledge, rub shoulders with some fellow sawmill enthusiasts, and just have some fun,” said Dave Mann, vice president of the company’s portable sawmill division.
In addition to manufacturing portable band sawmills, Wood-Mizer manufactures its own line of bandsaw blades. The company also has an industrial division, AWMV, that produces the LT300 thin-kerf head rig, a multi-head band resaw system, and other machines.
Registration is $25, and advance registration is suggested. To pre-register, call (800) 553-0182 or visit www.woodmizer.com.
